Product Description

The FÖGE SE-PAC is a compact, robust high voltage AC power unit designed to supply stable, regulated high-voltage output to FÖGE AC antistatic bars, nozzles and ionising accessories. Available in four models covering two voltage levels and two output configurations, the SE-PAC is the central power source for any FÖGE AC-based static elimination system. It connects directly to a standard 220 V AC mains supply and converts this to the regulated high voltage required by the connected ionising equipment — eliminating the need for additional external power conditioning. The SE-PAC is designed for easy integration into machine control panels and production line enclosures. Its compact footprint minimises cabinet space, while the front-panel ON/OFF switch and power indicator LED allow operators to control and monitor the system at a glance. An internal short-circuit protection circuit and fuse safeguard both the power unit and the connected bars against wiring faults and overload conditions. How It Works

The SE-PAC connects to a standard 220 V AC mains supply. Internally, a robust high-voltage transformer steps up the mains voltage to the regulated AC high voltage output — 5.5 kV for SE-PAC-55 models, 8 kV for SE-PAC-80 models. This regulated high voltage is delivered through the front-panel HV output connectors to the connected FÖGE AC antistatic bars. The high voltage applied to the bars' emitter pins ionises the surrounding air, generating the positive and negative ions that neutralise static charges on the target material. The ON/OFF switch on the front panel controls the high voltage output, and the power indicator LED confirms when the unit is live. The internal short-circuit protection circuit continuously monitors the output and disconnects automatically if an overcurrent or short-circuit condition is detected — protecting the bars and the power unit. The fuse provides a final line of defence against severe fault conditions.

Two decisions determine the correct SE-PAC model: (1) the output voltage required by your bars, and (2) the number of bars to be powered from one unit. Use the table below:

⚠️ Important: The voltage of the SE-PAC must match the voltage rating of the connected bars. Never connect a 5.5 kV bar to an SE-PAC-80 or an 8 kV bar to an SE-PAC-55 — this will result in incorrect ionisation performance or equipment damage.

Installation Notes

Mount the SE-PAC unit in a ventilated control cabinet or enclosure, away from high heat sources. The unit is designed for panel mounting — refer to the dimensional drawing for hole positions and clearances. Connect the mains supply (220 V AC, 50 Hz) to the power input terminals according to the wiring diagram supplied with the unit. Ensure the supply circuit is protected by an appropriate external fuse or circuit breaker rated for the unit's input current. Connect the FÖGE AC bars to the HV output connectors using the supplied HV cables and plug-and-play connectors. Do not exceed the maximum number of outputs — connect only as many bars as there are outputs on the unit (2 or 4). Do not exceed the total load specification. Switch the unit ON using the front-panel switch. The power indicator LED will illuminate to confirm the HV output is active. The connected bars will begin ionising immediately. If the short-circuit protection activates (LED extinguishes or unit shuts down), switch off, check all bar connections and cables for damage or short circuits, then switch on again. If the fault persists, do not continue to use the unit — contact FÖGE service.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The SE-PAC-55 models output 5.5 kV and are only compatible with 5.5 kV bars and accessories. The SE-PAC-80 models output 8 kV and are only compatible with 8 kV bars and accessories. Connecting mismatched voltages will result in incorrect performance or equipment damage. Use separate power units for each voltage level.
Yes. A 4-output SE-PAC can power 1, 2, 3 or 4 bars — unused outputs simply remain unconnected. It is not necessary to use all outputs.
No. The maximum load is 2 bars for the 2-output models and 4 bars for the 4-output models. To power more bars, use additional SE-PAC units — one per group of 2 or 4 bars.
The SE-PAC's internal short-circuit protection circuit detects the fault and disables the HV output automatically — protecting both the power unit and the other connected bars. Switch off the unit, identify and resolve the fault in the affected bar or cable, then switch on again.
The standard SE-PAC is rated for 220 V AC, 50 Hz. Contact FÖGE if you require a 110 V AC version or operation at 60 Hz — custom configurations may be available.
