SE-DCB-90 Pulsed DC Antistatic Bar — 9 kV

Compact 9 kV pulsed DC static elimination — no HV transformer, 24 V DC supply, up to 300 mm range

Product Description

The FÖGE SE-DCB-90 is a compact, highly efficient 9 kV pulsed DC antistatic rod for reliable static elimination in industrial production environments—without an external high-voltage power supply. The rod operates with a standard 24 V DC power supply (SE-PSU-24-C-M12, sold separately) and generates its 9 kV ionization voltage internally. This eliminates the need for high-voltage transformers, high-voltage cabling, and associated safety zones, making the SE-DCB-90 easy to integrate into new machines, existing production lines, and robotic systems. It provides effective static elimination up to 300 mm from the rod surface on non-conductive materials such as plastic parts, film, glass, and packaging. The rod operates with a standard 24 V DC power supply (SE-PSU-24-C-M12, sold separately) and generates its 9 kV ionization voltage internally. This eliminates the need for HV transformers, high-voltage cabling, and associated safety zones, making the SE-DCB-90 easy to integrate into new machines, existing production lines, and robotic systems. The SE-DCB-90 uses balanced alternating pulsed DC ionization—continuous switching between positive and negative ion production for fast, complete neutralization of both charge types. Shock-free tungsten emitter tips offer long service life with minimal maintenance. An integrated LED indicator shows power, ionization, and fault status at a glance, and an industrial M12 5-pin connector ensures a reliable connection. The rod can be ordered in any length from 250 mm to 4500 mm.

How It Works

The SE-DCB-90 connects to a 24 V DC supply via an M12 5-pin cable. Internally, the bar's pulsed DC circuit converts the 24 V input to 9 kV, which is applied to the row of tungsten emitter pins. The elevated voltage causes intense ionisation of the surrounding air at each pin tip, generating a dense cloud of ions. The circuit continuously alternates between positive and negative high-voltage pulses — producing a balanced mixture of positive and negative ions that drift outward from the bar surface toward the target material. When these ions reach a charged surface, those of opposite polarity are attracted to the charge and neutralise it rapidly. The alternating pulsed DC design ensures that neither positive nor negative charge is over-neutralised, leaving the surface at close to zero volts. The shockless circuit design keeps emitter pin current at a safe level for operators at all times.

Advantages & Benefits

01

No HV transformer — simpler installation

The 9 kV ionisation voltage is generated inside the bar from a 24 V DC supply. No external transformer box, no HV cable runs, no dedicated HV safety zones — the bar installs like any other 24 V industrial device.

02

Widest length range in the DC bar series

Available in lengths from 250 to 4500 mm, the SE-DCB-90 offers the widest range of any FÖGE pulsed DC bar — from a short section above a narrow conveyor to a full-width bar above a wide production machine.

03

No compressed air

Unlike air-assisted ionisers, the SE-DCB-90 needs no compressed air at the installation point — reducing cost, complexity and noise, and making it suitable for any location on the machine.

04

Fast static neutralisation

The pulsed DC circuit alternates ion polarity continuously, neutralising both positive and negative charges simultaneously — delivering faster decay times than single-polarity systems on heavily charged materials.

05

Suitable for retrofit and new builds

The compact 24 V DC format and standard M12 connector make it easy to add the SE-DCB-90 to existing machines during a retrofit, or specify it cleanly in new machine builds without additional power infrastructure.

06

Low maintenance

Tungsten emitter pins have an extreme service life. There are no compressed air components to service, no filters to replace, and the sealed industrial housing requires no special cleaning procedures.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The bar generates its 9 kV ionisation voltage internally from a 24 V DC supply. The SE-PSU-24-C-M12 adapter (220 V AC to 24 V DC) is required and sold separately — but no external HV transformer, HV cabling or HV safety zones are needed.
Both operate from 24 V DC with an M12 connector, but the SE-DCA-110 has integrated compressed air nozzles that extend its ionisation range to 1000 mm at 11 kV. The SE-DCB-90 is a passive bar (no air required) with a 9 kV output and 300 mm range. Choose the SE-DCB-90 where compressed air is not available or not needed; choose the SE-DCA-110 where maximum range is required.
The SE-DCB-90 is a pulsed DC bar powered by 24 V DC — no external HV power unit is needed. The SE-ACB-80 is an AC bar requiring an SE-PAC-80 external HV power unit. The SE-ACB-80 offers a 250 mm ionisation range at 8 kV AC and is designed for high-speed web applications. The SE-DCB-90 is better suited where no HV infrastructure is available and for conveyor, robotic and 3D-part applications.
The rod should span at least the entire width of the material to be neutralized. Available in lengths from 250 mm to 4500 mm. Please contact FÖGE with your desired length.
No. The SE-DCB-90 is a passive ionising bar — it generates ions at the emitter pins and allows them to drift to the target surface without any air assist. This makes it simpler to install and maintain than air-assisted alternatives.
Yes. The compact 24 V DC design, M12 industrial connector and absence of external HV components make the SE-DCB-90 well suited for robotic arm mounting and integration into automated handling cells.
